The Development of the Understanding of Suggestion troughout History

This diploma thesis has the goal of providing the broadest possible acquaintance with the phenomenon of suggestion. It covers various findings regarding the topic of suggestion, across both history and expertise. The author chose this approach to best encompass the multidimensional phenomenon of suggestion. That is why this thesis includes an overview of commonly used, but often misinterpreted terms, explanations of the basic principles of suggestion and the broadness of their use, a historical and geographical excursion regarding the phenomenon, and pointing out suggestion in everyday life. The first to do so in Czech language, the author dissects the cycle of suggestion, as presented by James Rolph, in great detail. To create the cycle of suggestion, manipulation and tricks have been, are being, and will be used. These tactics are close to impossible to track for the academic community, and the therapeutic community should stay far away from employing them. The author also holds a firm stance that hypnosis is just a construct - hypnosis does not exist as a unique state. This stance is supported by the lack of physiological manifestations, which would be exclusive to hypnosis, as well as current neuroscientific findings. The crowd behaviour today and in the past: sociological contribution to the problematic of the crowd focused on francophone domain and literature

This thesis deals about the study of the crowd from 19th century till today. It focuses mainly on France and the crowd in literature. It is a sociological analysis with a literature point of view as well. The aim of the thesis is to show the evolution of the studies of the crowd and to analyse each aspects of the crowd (it's negative conotations, patology, collective soal, the leader of the crowd and psychological events like hypnosis, suggestion and identification). We try to reply to the question if the study of the crowd is valid also for current society.
Surrealism - War of my world
DOLEJŠÍ, Klára
The bachelor thesis deals mainly with the theme and the comparison of French and Czech surrealism until their peak during the 1970s. At the same time it works with surrealism from the psychological point of view, which means free associations by Freud that were the pillars of the beginnings of surrealism as we know it today. In the practical part, the topic mentioned above is worked with because my paintings are all within the scope of surrealism.
